Panelists speak in front of a red and white balloon arch at the CMU INI When AI Attacks panel

On October 28, 2026, Sierra Experts was proud to sponsor Carnegie Mellon University’s Information Networking Institute (INI) panel, “When AI Attacks: Preparing for the Age of Autonomous Cyber Threats.”

Panelists Dr. Hanan Hibshi and Dr. Michael Mattarock, joined by moderator and organizer Fabiola Fiuza, led a sharp conversation about how autonomous threats are changing cybersecurity. Our thanks to all three.

Sierra Experts’ own Mark Sokolowski closed the evening with a look at how Sierra Experts and Sierra Data Centers help organizations stay secure and set smart guardrails for AI.

More than 40 students and local business people packed the INI student floor. Stacy Freshwater decorated the room with help from Lauren Bartley, balloon arch and all, and the robot stickers went fast.

Supporting the next generation of tech professionals is something we care about. Thank you, CMU INI.
