Sierra SIP trunking is based on concurrent call paths, so adding capacity is a call or an email, with no extra hardware or dedicated lines. It runs at the Pittsburgh Technology Bunker, our data center in Downtown Pittsburgh, which is fed by three power substations, has 1.54 MW of power, and has carriers on site including Verizon, Lumos, DQE Communications, Cogent, Metro Optical and Fidium Fiber, and more. The service has a 99.997% uptime record on a soft-switching fabric that spans multiple locations.
Hosted or On-Premise PBX
With hosted PBX, the only equipment you need on site is phones and network gear. If you would rather keep the PBX in your building, we source the hardware through our partners, set it up and configure it, and can manage and monitor it afterward. Both options support hardware and software phones, IVR voice menus, a company directory, ring groups and time conditions.
Call Center Application
A web-based call center application for teams that hot desk. Agents sign in from any device and join or leave one or more call queues for breaks or role changes. Managers see who is in each queue, who is taking calls and how long calls last.
Sipulator
An add-on for Sierra SIP trunking: a layer 7 network device that handles codec translation and lets us run site-to-site diagnostics for on-premise PBXs connected to our SIP service. Models have one to three Ethernet interfaces, and higher-end models can add FXS/FXO interfaces to act as a media gateway.
Monitoring and Support
We monitor call quality around the clock for packet loss, jitter and packet delay variation, with both automated and human alerting, and we reach you by phone, email, text or our web ticketing portal. Support runs 24/7, holidays included. We also add or remove extensions and call groups on request and provide usage and performance reports.
