Sierra Experts is looking for a Software Developer who builds real business systems, not demos. You will design, write, and support custom applications and ERPs for manufacturing, healthcare, and other critical-systems customers, working side by side with our team in Robinson Township.
<pDay to day, this role lives in Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft stack: C# / .NET, SQL Server, and the integrations that keep production data moving. You will turn customer requirements into durable software, modernize legacy platforms when needed, and ship work that operations teams actually run on.
This is an in-office position. U.S. citizenship is required. Local candidates preferred.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and maintain custom business applications and ERP solutions using Visual Studio (C# / .NET).
Build and extend features across the stack (desktop, web, services, and database).
Work with internal teams and customers to clarify requirements, propose practical designs, and deliver production-ready software.
Write and optimize T-SQL against Microsoft SQL Server.
Integrate systems via APIs and data exchange (XML, JSON, CSV).
Support and evolve existing Sierra-built applications.
Participate in modernization work, such as migrating AS/400 environments into Sierra-designed ERPs.
Use source control, work-item tracking, and change control.
Contribute to testing and documentation.
Follow secure coding practices for customers who can’t afford downtime or data loss.
What you bring
Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional software development (5+ preferred).
Strong proficiency with Visual Studio and C# / .NET.
Hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience.
ASP.NET (Web Forms, MVC, or Core) plus HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
Windows basics; PowerShell a plus.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical people.
Ability to own problems end to end.
U.S. citizenship required.
Must work on-site in Robinson Township.

Custom ERP or manufacturing/distribution software experience.
AS/400 / IBM i / RPG modernization.
Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD.
Crystal Reports or SSRS.
Microsoft 365 / Azure.
Effective use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or similar, while maintaining human oversight, code review, testing, and accountability for production code.
