Sierra Experts’ Veteran to Veteran Grant Program will award $6,000 in grants to Veteran-owned small businesses
As a Service Disabled Veteran-owned business ourselves, we understand the importance of supporting and sustaining other veteran-owned businesses. Our Veteran to Veteran Grant program will help these small veteran-owned businesses continue to be leaders in their communities. Our goal is to help three small businesses who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic has affected us all, but some industries have had it harder than others. Between the layoffs, furloughs, closures, and changes required to keep customers and employees safe some businesses have been forced to make tough decisions just to stay open. In an effort to help support Veteran-owned businesses struggling to keep the doors open and/or maintain their staff as a result of the devastating COVID-19 outbreak, we are launching our Veteran-to-Veteran grant program, which offers $6,000 total in grant funds to three Veteran-owned businesses, with each receiving $2,000.
“This pandemic has been difficult for us all. We want to celebrate these veteran-owned companies and all that they do for their communities.” said Bruce Freshwater, Founder and CEO, Sierra Experts. “We feel extremely lucky to have been able to sustain our business through this time, and we hope that by providing these grants we are able to help some other businesses in our community get back on their feet so they can continue to provide for the people who rely on them.”
From June 15, 2020 to July 30th, we will be accepting applications from Veteran business owners in the communities we serve. Of these applicants, three businesses (one Pennsylvania business, one Ohio business, and one West Virginia business) will each receive a $2,000 grant to sustain their businesses.
