Spooky Halloween Tech for Your Home
Ready to add some tech terror to your Halloween decorations this year? From spooky tech with scary sounds to frightening lights, we got you covered!
Halloween season is upon us and it’s time to turn your everyday house into a seasonal haunted house. These tech décors will deliver chills and thrills to party guests and trick-or-treaters.
- Fright Lights – If you have smart light bulbs, strips, or Flow Pro light bars, you can set the scene for your haunted theme. The HueDynamic app (available on both Apple and Android devices) offers animated experiences, setting the tone of spooky atmospheres of candlelight or stormy lightning.
- Spooky Playlists – Strategically hide Bluetooth speakers inside decorations to enhance your atmosphere. On both Spotify and YouTube, you’ll find suitably scary options to help you create a haunting ambiance. If you have an Alexa, simply say “Alexa, let’s get spooky” and spooky Halloween sounds will fill the room.
- Scary Scenes – Digital decorations have taken Halloween settings to the next level. Atmos FX sells MP4 files that you can play on a TV or on a projector. Some spooky scenes include ghostly apparitions, zombies, and talking jack-o’-lanterns.
- Motion Activated Effects – Consider setting up a motion sensor that triggers another device, like a security camera or smart doorbell, to set off the chosen lighting effect. If you want to give visitors a real scare, you can also add sounds into the mix.
