The Sierra Team Attends Annual ‘In the Pocket’ Event

The Best of the Batch Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the lives of children and families in distressed communities by building character, self-esteem, and appreciation for education. The foundation was founded by Pittsburgh Steeler retired quarterback, Charlie Batch. Each year, the foundation holds an “In the Pocket” event to raise money to benefit the foundation’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, reading, and computer literacy programs.

By purchasing event tickets, you can choose to be a spectator or a player in some friendly competitions and games against some of the “High Roller” and celebrity players such as: Charlie himself, Jerome Bettis, Franco Harris, Andrew McCutchen, Troy Polamalu, and various others! This year’s theme was “Throwing it back to the 90’s” which made it that much more fun.

Our team attended as spectators this year, and we got to watch the fun games and competitions unfold. We had a fantastic time as we always do at any event organized by the Best of the Batch Foundation raising money for our area’s youth!
